Natural Dye Printed Cushion: 'Beaver' in Oak
Trees all over the waterways of Perthshire are stamped with beaver tooth marks, beautiful carvings in charming curved shapes. I am always amazed by the ambition of these creatures, and the effect they have on the landscape.
This collection of soft furnishings and wall hangings is a capsule of my experiences in nature over the year. The base fabric is dyed with iron ink I brewed from an old machine part I pulled out of the river Turret, and the oak galls which form the print come from trees along the same stretch of river.
Also available in Oak and Iron and Cabbage Blue.
