Hand-painted checkerboard, a recurring motif in my work that I love to revisit agin and again. Satisfying in its wonkiness, I use red cabbage to create the periwinkle blue printed on the crisp organic cotton sateen.
The objects, patterns and marks of this collection of soft furnishings reflect the rhythm of our life in Scotland: busy but soothing and rooted in nature wherever possible. A capsule of our experiences in nature over time.
