A screen printed textile study of a found stone, made with urid bean on an iron dyed linen background.
This artwork was one of the first object studies I did in natural dyes. Quilted with rice stitch, I love the intensity of the texture next to the serene brush marks of the urid bean ink.
If you find a stone with an unbroken line surrounding it, folk tales say that it can grant you a wish. Run your finger over the unbroken line while making your wish or prayer.
This collection of wall hangings is a capsule of my experiences in nature through the seasons in Scotland.
