A birch ply frame hung with diaphanous organic cotton voile.
Natural avocado and synthetic dyes hand painted into playful, energetic shapes and repeated marks. Light plays through the fine fabric, making layers of colour and texture that change with the time of day and mode of illumination.
A collaboration with Edinburgh local furniture designer-makers Fine Piece.
Hand dyed, hand painted, hand printed and stitched on my Great Grandmother’s manually operated Singer sewing machine.

Organic Cotton Voile: Hand dyed with avocado (pink). Hand painted with synthetic dyes, screen printed through
Bound with Organic Cotton Sateen hand made bias tape
Stitched with 100% organic cotton Scanfil thread, on an antique manually operated Singer sewing machine
Fabric panels can be removed for washing: Hand wash cool with PH neutral detergent, air dry
The fabric panels on this piece are an edition of one. However the screen design is modular and any fabric can be made into panels. Get in touch if you’d like to commission a hand printed design for your own bespoke room divider.
