I am so looking forward to having all of you to celebrate the beautiful bride at my print studio on the 24th February!

I'm really looking forward to our upcycling print class to celebrate Fiona on the 24th February, 13:30 - 16:30

We will be upcycling textiles by adding screen print from a selection of original designs by Katie and the gang will have time to mix up and play with their own colours, creating their own unique interpretations of the designs.

I’ll provide all workshop supplies (screens, inks, art supplies, protective gloves etc.), everyone just needs to bring their chosen fabrics/garments that we will be printing on.

In terms of fabrics, I would encourage you to gather together pre-loved textiles and garments that can be upcycled, rather than buying anything new. For example: old tees, sweaters, shirts, trousers, napkins, tablecloths, sheets, baby muslins... anything you can think of! Just probably not any fabric that has a heavy knit or weave to it, as that won't print as well.

I’d also go for natural fibres like linens, cottons, viscose as the inks I use will stay better on these.

If you don't have anything at home that you can use then I'd go to charity shops and do some digging. I'll provide some scrap fabric for practicing on too.

I exclusively use water based inks and binders and we won’t be handling any harmful chemicals during the workshop. However, as it is good practice I will provide protective gloves for everyone, and if you can let me know of any allergies or medical issues you think could be relevant that would be great.

Please wear warm layers as the studio tends to start getting chilly this time of year, and don't wear anything you mind getting ink on- once it's there it doesn't budge!

Any questions at all just drop me a message. Looking forward to sharing my love of printing with you all!
